April showers springs Makers brainpower
This past April our good friends from Prime Time Center (PTC) bought the young adults in their day program for a tour of the Makerspace. At the Makerspace the young adults were able to watch and learn about 3D printing, Laser Cutting, and the history of Makerspaces' and the building at which we reside.
After the tour, different stations were set up where the young "makers" were able to build puzzles (which was cut out using our laser cutter), use the Oculus Rift for a VR experience, or use the MakeyMakey and play an early rendering of Super Mario BrosTM. At the end of the day each maker was presented with their own pencil boxes which they would then assemble at there program locations.
