Using Our Shop

Access and Safety

We ask that any use of our electronics tools with power (soldering irons, hot air station, oscilloscopes)  demonstrate some level of familiarity and comprehension prior to use to avoid damage to our tools and to your health potentially.

Purchasing Materials

We have some electronics materials available for purchase including some breadboards, wires, small servos, etc. However, unless you plan to be tinkering and doing very basic experimenting, we would recommend that you purchase your own materials.

No, we do not allow for any of our equipment to be borrowed.

One of our staff members can assist in teaching you how to solder. If you have other questions for your projects, visit the space and we'll see if we can help. For step-by-step instructions on how to solder, check out our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Soldering.
